Membership

Membership is open to any and all individuals who are interested in exchanging knowledge about our field of expertise – Acarology.

For a modest membership fee, our members receive the following benefits:

  • Subscription to Systematic and Applied Acarology journal
  • An opportunity to present papers at the annual meeting
  • Eligibility to compete for ASA student awards (1st and 2nd place and travel awards)

If you are interested in becoming a member, please complete the application form and mail it to our office with the fee payment (check) OR You can make online payment at the green button below using a credit card or a variety of payment platforms ($1 processing fee applies).

  • Active Membership– Standard Membership level for individuals who are interested in Acarology and the objectives of the society. Includes Subscription to Systematic and Applied Acarology Journal (SAA).
  • Sustaining Membership– Educational or commercial institutions or departments of such institutions, or individuals interested in the promotion and advancement of acarology. Includes Subscription to Systematic and Applied Acarology Journal (SAA).
  • Student Membership– Standard membership, but at a reduced rate for students. Only active students are eligible for student membership rates through the end of their graduation year. Includes Subscription to Systematic and Applied Acarology Journal (SAA).
  • Life/Emeritus Members– For long term supporters and retired members. Emeritus members must be approved by >75% vote of board members. We no longer offer new Life memberships. Optional subscription to Systematic and Applied Acarology is available for life members at rate of $10.00.
